Based in Peoria, Illinois, Paris has quickly built a name for herself by combining professionalism, continuous learning, and genuine compassion for the clients she serves.
From Vision to Reality
Paris launched Lumina Notary Services in May 2024 with a clear purpose: to create a business that offered flexibility, served her community, and supported her family’s future.
“My journey into the notary profession began with a desire to build a flexible business that allowed me to serve my community while also balancing my family life.”
Today, her services include mobile notarizations, loan signings, apostilles and authentications, field inspections, and jail notarizations, with fingerprinting services coming soon. Paris has also pursued Loan Signing Agent certification and specialized Apostille training to ensure her clients receive the highest level of expertise from day one.
Building Lumina Notary With Intention
Starting a business comes with challenges, and for Paris, the biggest lesson has been understanding that growth takes time:
“I’ve learned that building a successful notary practice is a marathon, not a sprint.”
Rather than rushing, she’s built Lumina Notary Services on strong foundations by prioritizing exceptional client service and investing in her skills to build a brand people can trust.
Mastering Visibility and Reputation
Paris landed her very first client through Google, an experience that shaped her approach to marketing.
“My first client found me on Google, and I was so proud and excited! That experience proved that being visible online is essential.”
Since then, she’s been intentional about creating a consistent online presence through posting Q&As, sharing updates, and encouraging clients to leave reviews.
“Those reviews, honestly, make all the difference in the world for being noticed and chosen.”
Her commitment to visibility and reputation-building has helped position Lumina Notary as a trusted name in the Peoria area.

Paris serves two primary audiences:
Real estate professionals and title companies who need a dependable notary for loan signings
Individuals and small business owners seeking assistance with wills, affidavits, POAs, and other personal documents

For Paris, her “why” is crystal clear:
“I’m driven by a deep desire to help others and by the freedom of entrepreneurship. The goal is to create generational wealth and show my kids that with determination and passion, you can control your own time and financial destiny.”
Her husband provided seed funding to launch Lumina Notary, and her nine-year-old daughter has become her right-hand helper. She assists with printing, organizing, and keeping her company during long workdays.
Looking Ahead
In 2024, Paris is focused on becoming the most trusted notary in her community:
“I aim to be the first name that comes to mind for local families, real estate agents, and small businesses.”
Over the next five years, she envisions Lumina Notary Services becoming a cornerstone in the Peoria business ecosystem. She sees herself working alongside title companies, law firms, and real estate professionals as an indispensable partner.
