Building a Business With Intention and Identity
Stephanie Limardo is a proud Miamian, accountant by day, and visionary entrepreneur by heart. With 15+ years of payroll experience and a background in culinary arts, Stephanie blended her love for structure and creativity into building The Notary Narrative—a mobile notary business serving both locals and travellers with services like apostille facilitation, loan signings, and her signature niche: airport and port notary services.
“I started The Notary Narrative to challenge myself and build something for me and my future family,” Stephanie shared. “One day, I want to work for myself and this is my start.”
She believes deeply in the power of choosing a niche early on.
“If you’re trying to talk to everyone, you’re talking to no one.”
That mindset has helped her shape a clear, intentional brand in a saturated market.
A Familiar Tool, A Fresh Start
Stephanie’s notary journey actually started years ago when her employer in North Carolina commissioned her to handle court-related payroll filings. She didn’t plan to turn that into a business but that changed when she returned to Florida and felt a persistent calling to go solo.
“I saw other notaries on social media, and I thought, why not me?” she said.
In April of this year, she renewed her commission and began the process of officially building her brand.

Launching a business in a competitive region like South Florida hasn’t been easy.
Stephanie admits mindset has been her biggest hurdle. “The notary industry here is so saturated, it’s easy to get discouraged,” she said. “But I’m learning to not take things personally and just keep going.”
Thankfully, she’s not doing it alone.
“The friendships I’ve built [inside of The Notary Business Blueprint (TNBB)] have been everything. We check in with each other and really support one another when things get tough.”
That unexpected support system she’s found through TNBB is now one of the biggest motivators helping her keep going on the hard days.
Laying The Groundwork
Stephanie’s first client was actually her 9–5 job, but since launching, she’s also started attending local networking events and forming intentional partnerships. One of her most recent wins? A referral partnership with an insurance agent, with plans to build more collaborations like it.
“I’m building this for travellers, for people visiting Miami, for business or pleasure, and for those living here part-time,” she said. “South Florida is such a hub—it just made sense.”
From To-Do Lists To Dream Homes
Stephanie keeps herself grounded with one simple but powerful habit: her business brain dump. “I keep a running to-do list and aim to complete at least three things a day. It helps me stay consistent, and on days I’m feeling discouraged, I look at everything I’ve already crossed off. That motivates me to keep going.”
Her big goal this year? Pay off debt and build savings so she can one day leave her corporate job behind. Long-term?
“I want to be working this business full time with my family and help them build their business too. And hopefully, buy my dream home!”
Speaking of family, her boyfriend has been one of her biggest cheerleaders from day one. “He was telling people about my notary services before I even had my commission back,” she laughed. “He even helped design my logo.”
What Makes It All Worth It
For Stephanie, the most rewarding moments come when she realizes the deeper impact of her work.
“Being a part of big moments in peoples’ lives. You’re a part of someone buying their first home, you’re helping someone build their own business, you’re helping people in some of the hardest moments of their lives and you can support them even in a tiny way. Those are the moments I love. It’s more than just stamping documents and notarizing signatures, we’re helping people in some of the most important moments of their lives.”
Whether it’s someone buying their first home or navigating a difficult situation, Stephanie’s heart is in every signature.
Words Of Wisdom
Her biggest lesson so far?
“Progress over perfection - nothing is going to be absolutely perfect so you have to learn to be okay with good enough and get your name out there. Otherwise, no one will know you or your business exist. As someone with mild ADHD whose hyperfocus is typically on perfection when it comes to my work, this has been a BIG lesson for me and an adjustment I have to keep repeating to myself often.And her final message to anyone on this path?"
